Little Richard: I Am Everything — A Rock ‘N’ Roll Film Screening with a special guest moderator at 6281 N College Ave (Former Crackers Space) in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 23, 2024!

On Saturday, March 23, I Made Rock ‘N’ Roll hosts its first program leading up to the inaugural Black rock festival on May 18 in Indianapolis.

This first program spotlights the story of one of Rock ‘N’ Roll’s pioneers, Little Richard, through the 2023 documentary LITTLE RICHARD: I AM EVERYTHING. Lisa Cortés’ Sundance opening night documentary tells the story of the Black queer origins of rock ‘n’ roll, exploding the whitewashed canon of American pop music to reveal the innovator – the originator – Richard Penniman. Through a wealth of archive and performance that brings us into Richard’s complicated inner world, the film unspools the icon’s life story with all its switchbacks and contradictions. Following the film screening, there will be a Q&A with director, Lisa Cortés.

Join us at 6281 N College Ave to celebrate the architect of Rock ‘N’ Roll.

Tickets are free with an RSVP! Festival ticket holders who attend will receive a complementary I Made Rock ‘N’ Roll t-shirt, guitar pick, and sticker.
