THE ROLE

The Venue Operations Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of all processes and procedures related to ticketing, box office, premium/VIP experiences, and private events for all Forty5 owned and operated venues. In addition, this role will work closely with the marketing team, strategic partnerships team, and the Opendate team as the liaison between those areas and venue operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managerial Duties

  • Serve as the main ticketing escalation contact for all events at all venues, which will require the ability to make decisions quickly and orderly
  • Develop strong relationships with promoters, staff, and affiliated partners
  • Manage the hiring, training, and scheduling of Box Office and Premium Seating staff
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Exhibit clear and proper inter-departmental communication and organization
  • Create a positive and safe environment for all staff and guests
  • Provide superior customer service in all guest interactions
  • Participate in all leadership and broader staff meetings as needed

Box Office

  • Build and maintain all events for all venues using Opendate and/or any other venue related ticketing software
  • Understand and manage all box office systems and software utilized by Forty5 (i.e. Opendate, Eventbrite, Stripe, and Square)Must remain sober for the duration of all shifts at the venue.
  • Assist talent buyers, tour personnel and internal staff, as necessary, with event reporting, ticket holds and other ticketing details
  • Monitor all ticketing inventory, including placing holds, processing orders, and releasing tickets in a timely fashion
  • Maintain accurate box office accounting records, including preparing deposits, reconciling cash in safe daily, and creating financial reports
  • Must be available for flexible work hours. Some days will be up to 16 hours.
  • Actively participate in event settlements as needed
  • Assist with creating and implementing box office and any related operational policies
    and procedures ultimately developing an operational playbook that will assist with establishing box office operations at new venues

Premium/VIP Experience

  • Create and implement premium seating policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with team to determine and implement which premium seating offers are
    available for each show
  • Work with the marketing and bar teams to create and develop special premium seating
    sales opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in music or entertainment venue operations, including box office and ticketing
  • College degree preferred
  • Leadership, management, and customer service experience
  • Flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Experience in prioritizing, time management, and multi-tasking
  • Adept in software environments
  • Exceptional and responsive communication skills, both written and verbal
