Logan Mize’s story began in Kansas. There, his family has been running Mize’s Thriftway, a local grocery, for over fifty years. From a young age, Logan worked unloading trucks and carrying groceries. But there was also music in the family – his great uncle Billy Mize was an architect of the ’60s Bakersfield Sound – and in the air, leading Logan in a different direction. After two “distracted” years in college, he dropped out and moved to Nashville. “A song plugger heard me at an open mike, invited me to play a song for Brett Jones, a songwriter who ran Wyoming Sky Music, and I had a deal by the end of the day.” While Jones championed Logan and helped shape his songwriting skills, the deal fell apart after a year. While he dug in on his craft and put his own band together, he worked a slew of jobs to support himself. In 2009, he landed a deal with publisher Big Yellow Dog and released his first, self-titled album. Over the next decade and three more albums, he scored hit singles with “Ain’t Always Pretty” and “Better Off Gone” (which was recently certified Gold by the RIAA), logged over 350 million streams on different platforms, and toured constantly. Mize’s newest album, Welcome to Prairieville, is his most personal work to date. Since the release of this project, he reflects on what he hopes listeners will take away. “I hope listeners have a really good listening experience, and it makes them want to come see my show. I hope it inspires them in some way.”

Hank Ruff

Fresh off his latest single “On a Good Night” charting top 5 on iTunes, Hank Ruff is ready to bring his neo-traditional brand of country music all over the country. Born and raised in Southern Indiana, Hank Ruff has been playing country music around the state since the age of 11. Named after Hank Williams Sr., Ruff began playing the mandolin and playing at bluegrass jams, and eventually picking up the guitar and learning old country songs like “Hey Good Lookin” and “Mama Tried.”

Ruff started playing with his dad’s band, “The Dew Daddies”, and soon after that he began writing songs with his dad by the time he was in high school. His first two singles, “Long May the Fire Burn” and “If the Boot Fits” are ones that the two wrote together. Loaded with steel guitar and fiddle, these songs embody what Ruff and his music are all about: combining elements of the traditional country sound with modern influences, and bringing just a little more of the 90’s country sound back into mainstream country music.

Grace Leer
Listen | Watch

This Northern California native’s love for music started at age 6 when she performed on stage for the first time. Throughout her younger years, Grace sang anywhere and everywhere she could throughout the Bay Area as well as playing competitive soccer and excelling in her school work. Her 110% mentality led her to a scholarship to the University of California Berkeley to play Division 1 soccer where she not only was voted Captain of the team her senior year but led the Bears to numerous victories with her skills and strong work ethic.

After graduating from Berkeley, Grace headed to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her dream of becoming a country music singer. A highlight included her participation in American Idol Season 18 and Katy Perry’s reaction to Grace Leer’s performance of “Natural Woman” during Idol’s Top 40 Showcase; “She literally came out here and made everyone else look like they were on a talent show” [Katy Perry] which landed Grace in the Top 20 and then onto Top 10 with live performances from her own backyard in California due to the COVID-19 “stay at home” order.

As American Idol came to an end Grace headed back to Nashville with a massive fan base that was centered around a community of acceptance and authenticity. She was ready to take all of her influences from 90’s country, soul, and rock and roll back to Nashville and create her sound. Grace hit the songwriting room hard, getting in rooms with Nashville’s best songwriters to find what truly makes her “Grace.”

After a year, she has found her voice and her sound that incorporates her California roots and her favorite things about 90’s country. She has since been recording her debut project with producers Dan Fernandez and Jared Hampton with her debut EP to release this summer. Listen to her first single, Brought A Girl out now.
